PC20 Compact Aqueous Cleaning System

Compact four-stage aqueous cleaning for small precision parts, cleaning, rinsing and drying 12-part batches with automated work handling in a plug-and-play unit, as the PC20 with DI slow-drain dry or the PC20-IR with infrared drying.

The PC20 is the compact system in the Unitech Shyre precision aqueous cleaning range, built for cleaning small, high-value parts in batches of twelve. Automated mass-transfer work handling carries each batch through the four-stage process, and the unit is plug and play, running from a 240 V supply within a 1075 mm wide footprint. Two build variants cover the drying requirement: the PC20 finishes with a DI slow-drain dry, and the PC20-IR with an infrared drying stage.

Four-stage precision cleaning

Parts pass through a heated 40 kHz ultrasonic cleaning stage with agitation, filtration, level control, automatic fill and weir overflow, then an intermediate rinse supplied with town, DI or RO water to suit the process, and a closed-loop DI water rinse polished through activated carbon, mixed-bed resin and particulate filtration, with optional UV treatment and optional rinse ultrasonics. The standard PC20 then performs a DI slow-drain dry, drawing the final rinse off the surface for spot-free results; the PC20-IR replaces this with an infrared drying stage.

Control and monitoring

Fully automated, fully programmable process control governs temperatures, levels and sequencing, with the work handling system moving each batch between stages. Options extend the unit with remote support integration, data capture, a clean-air enclosure, extended HMI features and a UPS.
